Sorry, you have Harper to thank for that.....after all Harper was the one who declared "Quebec as a nation", for crikey's sake.....and treasonous behaviour.

Remember it was your boy, Iggy, who started the whole mess with the nation resolution business. Harper stepped in and effectively cooled the mounting nationalist fever in Quebec with the resolution.
It was a mess the Liberals got us into and Harper got us out.
And Harper never, ever signed an accord with the separatists ... as the Liberal Party of Canada has now done.
Live with it. Hell, be proud of it if that's what you believe in.
What's wrong with being "a partner with Canadians and Quebecers", or any or all of the provinces for that matter?
I'm sure it sounds alright to most non-hyper partisan Canadians, Quebecers, Ontarians, etc., especially when faced with the alternative of keeping a reprehensible, crass, slimy and dictatorial current PM.
The most important job of a Canadian Prime Minister is national unity.
Stephane Dion has failed on this point already.
By entering into a formal accord with the Bloc, he has:
- given them legitimacy in the eyes of soft nationalist and even federalist voters. - made it easier for the Bloc to campaign in the next election as being "not really" about separation. - made the separatists seem a whole lot less scary for voters.
The Liberal Party are creating winning conditions for separatists.

Meanwhile Harper himself was plotting coalitions with the Bloc and NDP back in 2004, according to eye witnesses...namely, Jack Layton.
Thanks for the revisionist history lesson. Speaking of history, I am so reminded of Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Past Tense.
