Perverting democracy can take many forms. Providing blacked out documents as "proof" of tax leakage is something only a tin pot dictator like Harper would do....so is promising never to "raid seniors' nest eggs" and turn around nine months later and do that very thing. Meanwhile Canadians have lost $35 billion of theie life savings.....is this sounding third world enough for you yet?
Then there was the RCMP's Zacardelli letter sent to the NDP in the middle of the last election that announced a criminal investigation into the alleged income trust tax "leak" that through the 2006 election....is this sounding perversion of democracy enough for you yet?

I am comparing Harper's utter disregard for democracy in Canada with his feigned concern for democracy in Zimbabwe.
If Harper were truly concerned about democracy in Zimbabwe, he has plenty of opportunity to say something about it over the course of the last three months, when it might have had some effect.....but now?.....after the fact?....what a lame attempt at correcting the gross injustice taking place in that country.

I suppose Harper doesn't think telling malignant lies to get elected is a perversion of democracy. Being comfortable in this denial - else he wouln't be so gratuitously hyypocritical - he will surely do it again and again. But we will be chad wise next time, won't we?
