Globe and Mail retreats: Euromoney does not consider Flaherty "courageous".

B2 of today’s Globe reads:

Correction: Euromoney magazine did not describe the income trust decision by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty as courageous. Incorrect information was published Wednesday.”

Okay, now that we have that triviality out of the way, when is the Globe and Mail going to publish the multiple correction notices that would be required to disabuse the public and its readership of the Globe’s false statements and constant innuendos, inferences and implications that “income trusts cause tax leakage”, something which the Globe knows to be an outright falsehood advanced by it for the benefit of certain parties but to the extreme detriment of others?

The Globe is at the center of this fraudulent argument that caused Canadians to lose $35 billion of their pensions savings? When will the Globe show the "courage" and professionalism to do so?

Over to you John Stackhouse, as you were as the center of this false journalism concerning income trusts while the Editor of the Report on Business (the aptly named ROB) and now as the Editor the entire rag publication.

One of those "Gotcha" moments brought to you by another private citizen watchdog.

Thank goodness somebody keeps an eye on the media because most people just assume everything these guys print or speak is the truth.

As I say "gotcha".
