Conservative MP Ted Menzies declares Harper's Accountability Act is not credible

In Question Period today:

Hon. John McCallum (Markham—Unionville, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, Is the minister going to admit his mistakes future, as when he gave an illegal contract to his friend, or is he going to hide, as in the case of the broken promise on income trusts and the famous 22 pages of redacted documents? In terms of future mistakes, what degree of transparency can we expect?

Mr. Ted Menzies (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance, CPC)
: Mr. Speaker, this government is all about transparency. In fact if we recall, this government is the one that brought forward an incredible Federal Accountability Act.

I wonder if the Accountability Act was blacked-out--that is about the only way Menzies can justify this gov`ts poor record on openness & accountability.

The 18 blacked-out pages delivered to trust investors & their subsequent recall (of the smoking gun) were enough to make John Joseph Gotti proud.
