Confessions of a robocaller

As a candidate in the 2008 federal election, I made a "robocall", but not from a throw away cell phone paid with a prepaid credit card, but then my robocall was a call made the day before the election identifying myself by name and reminding people to get out and vote and to call our campaign office if they were unsure of their polling station or need assistance in getting there.

Given there is nothing wrong with robocalls per se, but rather the criminal manner in which certain people have used this technology to impersonate Elections Canada officials with the intent of bringing about voter suppression and voter fraud, I really have no real reasons to apologize nor to go to such great lengths as others in covering their tracks.

Just read the "Robo-call smoking Gun" article & it scared the CRAP out of me.

This was no one man mickey mouse operation but a co-ordinated effort by people with the lists , the money & the juice to carry it out.

This is big , way too big for anything other than a large & organized effort.

Follow the money...

Follow the trail to those who would benefit the most from the outcome....

Time for an all-out public inquiry.

Time for arrest warrants.

Time for election re-dos.
