On 1/11/10 3:31 PM, "CBC Ombudsman"
Dear Mr. Fullard:
I write to acknowledge receipt of your e-mail. It is the customary practice of CBC’s Office of the Ombudsman to share complaints with the relevant programmers, who have the right to respond first to criticism of their work. I have therefore shared your e-mail with Jennifer McGuire, General Manager and Editor in Chief of CBC News. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you may ask me to review the matter.
Sincerely,
Vince Carlin
CBC Ombudsman

Mr. Carlin:
Thank you for your reply. I suggest that you contact me by phone in order that I can share with you the full extent to which this income trust issue and Harper’s associated tax leakage lie has been suppressed by the CBC from being told to the Canadian
public. The complaint that you are responding to here, is but one part of the (apparent) overall suppression of this story by the CBC.
I have other equally good examples to provide you, such as correspondence I have had with Don Newman in 2009, as well as insights into the commercial conflicts that reside within the CBC on this issue insofar as some as your senior businesses reporters are concerned, such as Kevin O’Leary and his commercial conflict on this issue that arises from his role as head of O’Leary Funds, as well as the past history of gross bias on this issue by Amanda Lang, whilst she was in the employ of BNN.
Therefore my complaint is not a complaint merely pertaining to the upcoming “Question Period” segment on The National, but rather a much broader complaint/issue that permeates throughout all of the CBC, including CBC Radio.
Therefore please confirm to me that you are treating my complaint in this broader manner, and that all the relevant persons that might be affected by the broader complaint that I am making, are made aware of my complaint.
I look forward to your phone call in order to ensure that your record in complete, thereby enabling you to respond to me in full and based on the entirety of my complaint.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for the important role that Canadians look upon their publicly funded broadcaster to play, in an otherwise highly commercially conflicted news media world in which the CBC vies for viewers and advertisers.
I simply wish that the truth be told on the matter of income trusts as well as the truth about Stephen Harper’s alleged tax leakage from income trusts, which served only as the patently false premise for a policy that caused Canadian taxpayers to lose $35 billion of their retirement savings.
Telling of the truth, on this issue, is something that has not occurred at the CBC to date. That concerns me greatly and is in need of immediate remedy.
I look forward to working with you to ensure that the truth does get told and that it gets told to Canadians via their publicly owned and funded news organization, the CBC.
Thank you,
Brent Fullard

good for you.
I think some parts of CBC are not happy about others. viz, "THE News" Dispatches, As it happens.
However, what with the "wonderful ads that CBC news has about integrity, blah blah, and their suppression of the Income Trust issue, is shameful.
I am certain every Canwest and Globe editor would love to do an article on the CBC news doing a Harper. lol. Even if they were down that path themselves. I am sure that you have enough "assistants" around still in Canada who will write to whoever. lol.
Ted.
I can't believe that our CBC is strangled so badly -
Regards,
Donna
CBC - The peoples news outlet Oh ! ha ha ha ha
These idiots screwed up big time by asking to let the lunch bucket brigade voice their main concerns regarding our Goverment and our Country. Will be interesting to see how they try to weasel out of this. They most likely will ignore this and let time erase all memories. Good luck CBC and all the Canadian media. It,s been over three years now and the lunch bucket brigade are more pi$$ed then ever. This is an issue that,s hard to resonate to those not affected but many are finding we,re the canary in the mine and it,s best to take notice before the slippery slope of Harpers actions knock you on your a$$. Just to make a point lets look at what fraudulent acts of both Conservative and liberal Governments have taken out of your pocket book. Adscam was the downfall of the Liberals and it cost every Canadian $8.00 dollars. The income trust fraud of the Conservative Government cost over $300.00 dollars for each Canadian and this is not taking into consideration the $ 7 1/2 billion dollars of lost tax revenue each and every year from the income trust fraud. Who do you think will be making up this lost revenue. Corporate Canada maybe ???- oh maybe ha ha ha ha . Now that,s what i call recalibrating ha ha ha ha.
